The Twenty-Second Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (COMCEC), chaired by the President of the Republic of Turkey, will be held on 21-24 November 2006 in Istanbul.

FCIC is officially invited by the Government of the Republic of Turkey. The member states of OIC are expected to participate in the Session with delegations headed by the ministers responsible for economic affairs in their respective countries. The General Secretariat of OIC and its subsidiary and affiliated institutions and some international organizations are also invited to the Session.

Moreover, the 11th International Trade Fair will take place on 23-26 November 2006, in conjunction with that occasion, 10th International Business Forum (IBF) will be held on 22-25 November 2006 in Istanbul with participation of the leading businessmen in the OIC member countries. The Independent Industrialists & Businessmen’s Association of Turkey will be hosting the said Forum and Fair in corporation with the OIC and IDB.
